Grand Prix de Monaco Historique • 13-15 May • Monaco, MC
The Grand Prix de Monaco Historique will celebrate in 2016 its 10th edition, an unmissable event for worldwide collectors and classic motorsport fanatics. A real sprint race, contested on the legendary circuit of Monaco, The Grand Prix de Monaco Historique is designed for worldwide collectors, nostalgic enthusiasts, drivers, spectators and ardent supporters of former days’ mechanics, who definitely won’t miss this world event.
Organized since 1997 by the Automobile Club de Monaco, this “biennial” event will take place two weeks before the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco. Within two and a half days, from Friday 13th afternoon to Sunday 15th, the Principality of Monaco is going to be transformed into a real temple to turn back the clock. It is indeed about 50 years of motor racing that will be commemorated, through 8 exceptional series.

In the past, the mere passage of the beautiful race was more than enough to make it famous. Since 1927, half of Italy has been able to simply go to their doorsteps and touch it first hand. The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este owes its very special status among the world’s prestigious heritage events for historic vehicles to a number of elements. They include the elegance of the event, its long and illustrious tradition, its unrivaled flair at a beautiful location situated directly on the shores of Lake Como, and the small and select groups of participants.
The grounds of the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este, one of the world's leading hotels, are lapped by the waters of Lake Como and offer guests and visitors the opportunity to admire about 50 Historic Cars built between the 1920s and 1980s, organized by different categories. From Friday 20th May to Sunday 22nd May, the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este and Villa Erba will once again be transformed into a unique and exclusive setting where guests are privileged to admire the finest historic vehicles and motorcycles of their eras. The tradition continues with approximately 50 Historic Cars being presented in nine classes at Villa d’Este on Saturday and at Villa Erba on Sunday.
