Here's the selection of automotive events held in March!
The Ice • March 2-3 • St. Moritz, CH
Iconic cars and an elite location, emblematic for its exclusivity are the ingredients of The Ice, top level event that aims to elicit curiosity of enthusiasts brought together by a parade of selected collector’s cars on the surface of a frozen mountain’s lake, for a literally high-altitude show.
An International Concours of Elegance with cosmopolitan facets that will alternate track experience with meetings in sleek locations to give birth to a one-of-a-kind weekend.
Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance • March 7-10 • Amelia Island, US
Legends & elegance: this year the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance – 24th edition will be dedicated to Jacky Ickx, six times Le Mans champion, who is celebrating 50 years of career in 2019. In honor of the formidable champion, a gathering of vehicles that “Mr. Le Mans” drove to the finish line during the years is expected to take place.
Among other big attractions scheduled this year, we would point out the parade dedicated to cars of great Kings and Queens, Popes and Head of States and the event on the occasion of Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB 60th anniversary.
Geneva International Motor Show • March 7-17 • Geneva, CH
The Geneva International Motor Show – 89th edition, currently one of the most valuable car showcases at a global level, is about to open its doors to welcome visitors with new models introduced by 180 exhibitors from all over the world, including many at their first appearance at GIMS.
We look forward to the much-awaited Bentley celebrating its 100th anniversary with a special limited edition that expresses all of its racing DNA.
Rally De Las Bodegas • March 14-16 • Mendoza Argentina, RA
Rally de las Bodegas, in its 17th edition, it is one of the most important historic-cars themed events in Argentina, where it has been included in the events of national tourism relevance. As the name suggests, the rally combines passion for classic sportscars, wine-producing excellence and breathtaking sceneries of the Mendoza region.
The route stretches for 700 kilometers along the beautiful territory that characterizes the Andes Cordillera, touching the finest vineyards and renowned wineries at a pleasingly touristic 50km/h pace.
Alpine Classique • March 22-24 • Chamrousse, F
Charmrousse’s ski area is going to host the 5th edition of “The Alpine Classic”, a unique event that gathers together hundreds of petrolheads and winter sports fans in a stunning mountain background.
Remarkable is the selection of historic cars and motorbikes, all built between the 30’s and the 60’s. In addition, during the Winter Olympics, the event will grant the opportunity to go through winter sports history, from the pioneering thirties to the modern glamour of the late sixties.
Coppa Milano-Sanremo • March 28-30 • Milan, I
The Old World is full of races that recall the golden years of Gentlemen Drivers. Well, the Coppa Milano-Sanremo it’s the most ancient race in Italy, traditionally forerunner of the “Grandi Classiche” season in the Bel Paese. Nowadays in reenactment form, this year the race will start in Via Marina towards the headquarters of the Automobile Club Milano, exactly how it used to happen back in the 50’s and 60’s.
Other awaited news that carry big symbolic value will be the Monte Carlo epilogue, to commemorate the historic twinning between two emblematic Motorsport sites, namely the Autodromo di Monza and the Principality of Monaco, as well as the exclusive celebratory parade for 60 cars of “historical interest” in Via Montenapoleone, that will precede the official start of the Coppa.
