It’s March: our passion can finally run free thanks to the events of the 2022 Driving Season. The 27th edition of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance promises its annual dose of refinement, while moving to the borders of the “Bel Paese”, the 2022 Coppa delle Alpi runs between the Alpine resorts of Italy, Austria and Switzerland. And again, for lovers of timeless vehicles, the 46th Parisian edition of Rétromobile and the 32nd of Techno Classica, a prestigious fair for historic cars based in Essen.
Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance • March 3-6 • Amelia Island, USA
History, distinctiveness and elegance meet again at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance - this year renamed The Amelia - confirming itself as an opportunity to admire vintage cars and celebrate important anniversaries: the 60th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 70th anniversary of the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 75th anniversary of Ferrari and the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln. In addition, the Amelia Island golf course will host for the first time the “Cars & Community”, a free event in which the already known cars of “Cars & Caffeine” will parade along with RADwood vehicles from the 80’s and 90’s.
Coppa Delle Alpi 2022 • March 9-12 • I, A, CH
A competition between the mountain landscapes of three countries in the Alps: the Coppa delle Alpi 2022 by 1000 Miglia, in its second edition, is the perfect combination of natural and automotive powers. First competition on the calendar valid for the 2022 Major Events Italian Championship, the regularity race for historic cars built up to 1976 will face challenging landscapes starting from Brescia and passing through Bormio towards Seefeld in Tirol, until reaching the finish line in Bressanone.
Rétromobile • March 16-20 • Paris, F
Framed by the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center, the historic Rétromobile show is expanding to give even more space to passion: this year there will be more sellers, restorers, clubs, federations and car manufacturers than ever, as well as 620 exhibitors. New features include a stand dedicated to the Renault 5, for its 50th birthday, and a collection of eight vehicles presented by Artcurial, including four legendary Ferraris: F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari.

To conclude, we move to Essen, where Techno Classica has been talking about the exclusivity of a world-class automotive event since 1989. The RM Sotheby’s auction returns, whose success in 2019 was accompanied by large numbers: around 190,000 visitors, players and collectors from 46 countries. The secret ingredient? The German fair is admittedly a symbolic hub of meeting, reference and showcase for motoring passion: the one that every year runs for us and with us beyond all imaginary!
